Commissioned by Winning Scotland Foundation and involves interview with 100 Scottish sporting and business figures, including Sir Chris Hoy and Andy Murray, for an inspirational book for young Scots.
Destination Space: How space tourism is making science fiction a reality. Virgin Books (2007). Original research on emerging industry with entrepreneurs joining the industry. Exclusive interviews with many people including Burt Rutan, the creator of SpaceShipOne and winner of the X Prize.
Entrepreneurial Scotland: Portraits of Inspiration, published by the Entrepreneurial Exchange (2006). Book involved a series of exclusive interviews with 22 of Scotland’s leading entrepreneurs. The book supplemented an exhibition held at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh.
Flight of the Titans: Boeing, Airbus and the battle for the future of air travel, Virgin Books (2006). Original research undertaken in Seattle at Boeing, with Airbus at Toulouse, and in Washington (in the former Gannett headquarters building), and exclusive interview with Roger Beteille, the founder of Airbus.
Go: An Airline Adventure, Time Warner Books, (2003) WH Smith Book Awards. Business Book of the Year 2004. Co-written with Barbara Cassani who set up the low-cost airline Go for British Airways. Eventually sold for £374 million to easyJet. Barbara Cassani became first chair of London 2012 bid. Over 100 interviews carried out in process of writing this book.
